Grace Kelly (1929 - 1982)

Colorized a few more photos of Grace Kelly during her short reign in Hollywood before taking off to become Princess Grace of Monaco in 1956.

Grace Kelly (1929 - 1982) ca 1954

Colorized a publicity photo of Grace Kelly (1929 - 1982) for her 1954 Hitchcock movie Rear Window with James Stewart, two years before retiring from Hollywood to assume the role of a lifetime as Princess Grace of Monaco. Early that same year, she had turned down to star opposite Marlon Brando in On the Waterfront, and replaced by Eva Marie Saint who won Oscar's Best Actress.

Princes Grace Kelly of Monaco (1929 - 1982)

Colorized and stylized a vintage photo of Grace Kelly, an American actress of the 50s who became Princess Grace of Monaco in 1956.

Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco (1929 - 1982)

Colorized a portrait of Grace Kelly from a photo taken presumably when she became Princess of Monaco. In April 1956, Kelly married Rainier III, Prince of Monaco, and became Her Serene Highness the Princess of Monaco. The original had been used as a cover for her biography in "Grace Kelly, The American Princess" and as a poster in subsequent TV and movie productions of that book.

Grace Kelly (1929 - 1982) Colorized from a 1953 photo.

Here was Grace Kelly in a 1953 photo holding a pet kitten to her face.  Not entirely sure why she used a silk scarf to hold it, but it made a nice photo composition.

Grace Kelly, colorized by Alex Lim from a 1956 photo,

Here is Grace Kelly, colorized from a photo during her last year transitioning from a Hollywood screen legend to a fairy tale legend.  The year saw her complete her last film "High Society" with Frank Sinatra and Bring Crosby, a remake of "Philadelphia Story with Katherine Hepburn.  In April 18 of that year, she married Prince Ranier after a year-long courtship that started when Grace met him during her visit to the Cannes Film Festival.

Grace Kelly (1929-1982) colorized by Alex Lim from a 1953 photo

Here's Grace Kelly colorized from a 1953 photo.  Could a promotional still for her movie "The Country Girl" released in 1954 if not mistaken.  Younger than Ingrid Bergman who was born in 1915, but died in the same year 1982.  Ingrid from cancer in August 1982, and Grace in the car accident. about a month after.
