Birth of the American Flag,

This is my colorization take of a 1917 re-enactment of the event from a 1911 painting by Henry Mosler  The second photo is my attempt to correct the re-enacted image since the first US flag only had 13 stars representing the first 13 colonies. It was admitted that the time of re-enactment, the organizers did not have the original flag but used flag that was then  available, a 1917 flag containing the 50 stars
