Colorized in two versions, one with extensive liberties on the backdrop using early fall colors instead of early summer colors, the other in summer colors as it should be.

The moment was captured by Nik Wheeler, a photojournalist with him, and was used as the cover of McCullin's Book, "Unreasonable Behaviour"

Alfred Hitchcock (1899 - 1980), cololrized with promo still from "The Birds", 1963
Colorized a photo famed thriller director Alfred Hitchcock wit composited promo still for his movie the Birds released in 1963. The same photo was used in an earlier colorized work here but compositing the stills from his 1960 hit "Psycho."

A US cavalry soldier in WWII, undated, possibly 1940
At a time when tanks and armored vehicles have replaced the reliable horse and made the cavalry soldier obsolete, there were documented cases of US, Polish, Russian, and German soldiers on horseback taking on the enemy or conducting reconnaisance. Some stories here .
After the war comes the remembrances, 1945, France
Colorize a photo of a French woman tending to the grave of 23-y.o. Everitt Ivan Hill of the 2nd AntiTank Reg 2nd Infantry Div Royal Reg of Canadian Artillery, who was killed in action 18 Jul 1944 in during the Battle for Caen. Under his name and date of burial is written ”The French Will Never Forget the Canadians.” Beneath a paper: "Rest in peace under the beautiful French sky. You have given your life for our deliverance. May your name be forever blessed in Heaven.” Hill (Little Britain, Ontario), landed in Normandy on D-Day. He was later reburied at Bretteville-sur-Laize Canadian War Cemetery
