I consider Hedy Lamarr my third most favorite Hollywood actress after Elizabeth Taylor (1st) and Ava Gardner (2nd). Joan Crawford would figure in next. Just so happens Joan had a lot more glamour photos to colorize than any of the first three. I should add, I actually prefer Hedy for the role of Scarlet O'Hara in the 1939 "Gone with the Wind" over Vivien Leigh (1913-1967

Hedy Lamarr (1914 - 2000) , Hollywood Actress and Inventor, colorized from a photo, ca 1930s
Hedwig Eva Maria Kiesleran, Austrian-born American film actress and inventor, Hedy Lamarr was considered the most beautiful Hollywood actresses and was as known as the "ecstasy lady" for her daring role in her first film "Ecstasy" in 1933 when she was just 18. Lamarr and composer and composer friend George Antheil developed a radio guidance system that used spread spectrum and frequency hopping technology the principles of which were incorporated into Bluetooth technology. This work led to their induction into the National Inventors Hall of Fame posthumously in 2014.
